Time for Presents

Scarlet is ready to open presents on her "real birthday" Tuesday.
Thanks to all for my awesome gifts!
This Raggedy Ann is from France!  She is quite loved by Scarlet, demonstrated by the fact that RA has already had to have her arm sewn back on.  Mommy thinks it was damaged in an attempt to get RA's apron off.  Scarlet will not talk about the incident.
This little girls LOVES a good book!  From AKUA.
Scarlet's Great-Uncle Alexi picked this shirt out for her.   She is very in love with this shirt.  She was just starting to favor purple quite a bit, but this put purple over the top!
Scarlet's Great-Uncle Alex picked this dress out for her.
Head to toe AKUA.  Enjoying the front yard grass before the string of 13 triple-digit temps days toasted it completely.  Praise the Lord clapper from Marisa, Janea and Natasha.  The latter is also her "number one toy to double as a phone."

Playtime

Make a Wish...or Just Freak Out

Photo 1: Carter was excited to blow out his candles.
Photo 2: Scarlet not so much.  She was basically like, "Ah! Why are you pushing FIRE toward me?"
Photo 3: Right after Daddy blew out the candles.
Photos 4 & 5: Trying to reconcile how good this cupcake tastes with the fact that seconds ago, it was ON FIRE!

Inside the Party, cont'd.

I am having a pretty good time with this helium balloon.  Good thing the string is long enough for me to get it back when I let it go!

Daddy is trying to get me to look at the camera, but I can't take my eyes off this balloon!
My Minnie ears were loaned to me for the party by my Auntie Amanda and (the real owner) Caroline.

Inside the Party

Here's one scene from the party.  In back are some family friends of Auntie Angeline and Uncle Tim.  Auntie Francys is standing, holding Camille.  Uncle Josh White and Auntie Janet's backs are the to camera, and Ariel (left) and Megan (right) are looking toward the camera.
These are the favor bags Joan and Auntie Angeline made for the boys and girls.
Look at how Joan decorated and set up our cupcakes!  I got to take the plush Minnie home with me.  She usually hangs out on my bed.  Auntie Lori (holding Caroline) is in the photo.

Daddy ate three cupcakes before they were served and persuaded several innocent bystanders to jump the gun as well.

Carter and I turned 3 this summer

My Auntie's mother-in-law, Joan, made this birthday invitation for me and Carter's third birthday party.  We were born one day apart back in 2009.  Joan did all the invitations, decorations, favor bags and cupcakes for our party.  My Uncle Tim and Auntie Angeline and Joan's husband Jerry and Tim's brother Dan did a lot of work to make it a great day, too.  It was awesome, and I had a lot of fun.

We're about to be moving (NOT HOW YOU THINK!)

Hello Followers and Fans!

Due to the arrival of Daphne Josephine in May, I have decided to create a new blog that will feature both girls.  The photos to follow will be among the last posts to appear on this blog, and I will reveal where to go next very soon!

Thank you for all of your support and enthusiasm for us and Scarlet over the past three years!

Love,
Shannon
